The North Lonsdale Foxhounds have hunted in the Southern Lake District since they were founded by Ulf Machell in 1947. The object of the North Lonsdale Foxhounds is to maintain a kennel to keep and breed Fell Hounds in order to maintain their bloodlines, to take part in legal fox control and exercise of hounds and to promote and support these objectives by various social activities in the community.
